An Evening of Bold Flavors and Bold Impact
Beverly Bootstraps' Signature Fundraiser Returns

Beverly, MA – Beverly Bootstraps is bringing the heat back to the kitchen! On Friday, April 10, its signature fundraiser, Best Chef, returns to the Boston Marriott Peabody for an unforgettable night of culinary competition. Three top local chefs will battle for the coveted title of “Best Chef” while raising crucial funds for local families and individuals in need.
Aaron Chambers of Bernadette and Settler, Julio Varela of Mission Boathouse, and Mogs Moremong of ROOT will compete for the title, creating original dishes using 75% of ingredients found in the Beverly Bootstraps’ Food Pantry. In front of an audience of more than 250 attendees, the chefs will face off as celebrity judges Anna Rossi, Bill Fogarty, Ryan Blodgett, and Katy Sweetland offer their expert critiques and ultimately decide who earns the title “Best Chef”.
The evening will kick off at 6:00 PM with a Taste of the North Shore, where guests can enjoy samples from more than 15 local restaurants while mingling with friends. As the chefs begin their culinary showdown, attendees will take part in an exciting live auction and Fund-A-Need paddle raise. Guests can also purchase seats at an exclusive Chef Tasting Table and enjoy the competing chefs’ creations. Complimentary beer and wine will be available.

Beyond the excitement of the competition, Best Chef is about the real difference a community can make.
“We see every day how quickly life can change for someone,” said Allison Caffrey, Executive Director of Beverly Bootstraps. “Our mission is to make sure no one faces a difficult transition alone. Whether it’s parents struggling with rising costs, seniors facing eviction, or children who need school supplies, we are here to provide the food, resources, and support people need to get through these moments and keep moving forward.”

The funds raised during Best Chef will help Beverly Bootstraps continue to serve over 7,000 individuals in Beverly and the surrounding communities (Manchester, Essex, Hamilton, and Wenham) with food assistance, case management, adult education, youth and family programs, and its Thrift Shop.
“Best Chef brings our mission to life,” Caffrey added. “It’s a celebration of what’s possible when a community comes together to care for one another.”
