North Shore Music Theatre Brings Back A Christmas Carol Dec. 3–23

The 35th annual production runs Dec. 3–23 for 16 performances, with David Coffee back as Scrooge for a 32nd year

The magic of the holiday season returns to Bill Hanney’s North Shore Music Theatre as the theatre celebrates its 35th annual production of A Christmas Carol – A Musical Ghost Story. The beloved New England holiday tradition runs December 3–23, 2026, for 16 performances only, and tickets are on sale now.

David Coffee returns as Ebenezer Scrooge for a remarkable 32nd year, alongside Cheryl McMahon as Mrs. Dilber. Adapted from Charles Dickens’ classic tale by former NSMT Artistic Director Jon Kimbell and members of the theatre’s staff, the production follows Scrooge through supernatural encounters that lead him to rediscover compassion and the meaning of Christmas, featuring traditional carols including “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” The production is directed and choreographed by Kevin P. Hill, with music direction by Robert L. Rucinski, and sponsored by American Family Care, Urgent Care.

NSMT will again collect toys in the lobby for Tiny Tim’s Toy Drive throughout the run. New, unwrapped toys for children ages 2–12 will be donated to Toys for Tots.
