4 Children Hit By Car Crossing Boston Street: Cops

The four children and an adult were hospitalized, police said.

BOSTON, MA — A driver hit four children crossing a Boston Street Thursday morning, police said.

Officers were alerted to the car striking the children near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and East Brookline Street shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sgt. Detective John Boyle of the Boston Police Department Office of Media Relations said in an email.

"On arrival, officers located a group of children that were struck by a (motor vehicle) as they crossed the street," Boyle said.

"Four children and one adult were treated on scene by Boston EMS and transported to local hospital for evaluation and possible minor injuries," he said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, Boyle said, noting the investigation remains active.
