Boston Rock Veterans Unite: Myaero Maes To Release All-Star Debut Album

Two definitive pillars of the Greater Boston music scene, Jeff Myerow and Brian Maes, have officially joined forces for a new collaborative project under the name Myaero Maes. Their debut album, Keep It Simple, is set for release on May 19, promising a blend of 1970s and ’80s classic rock sensibilities infused with a modern energy.

The project is more than just a new record; it is a time capsule of Boston’s rich musical lineage. The album features a "who’s who" of local legends, including Barry Goudreau, Peter Wolf, Charlie Farren, and the late, legendary Brad Delp.

“This is something we could’ve played on WBCN back in the day—and today it still fits right alongside classic rock staples,” says Myerow. “With everyone involved, Brian and I used to joke: we’re not making a record, we’re making history.”

A Labor of Love Decades in the Making Keep It Simple is the culmination of over 20 years of recordings. To ensure the highest sonic quality, the duo enlisted four-time Grammy winner Bob St. John (Extreme, Collective Soul, Steven Tyler) to mix the album.

Fans can expect several standout tracks that highlight the chemistry of the "all-star" lineup:

• “Everybody Says I Love You”: A treasure from the vaults featuring Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau. The track evokes the Third Stage era of the band Boston and includes a touching childhood recording of Delp’s daughter, Jenna.
• “Just The Way You Look At Things”: A soulful acoustic track featuring lead vocals by Myerow and guest appearances by Peter Wolf and Charlie Farren.
• “Time and Again”: A poignant tribute featuring the late Michael "Tunes" Antunes (Beaver Brown Band) on saxophone and backing vocals from the late Patty Barkas.
• “Shut Up and Kiss Me”: A high-energy rocker featuring MaryBeth Maes that channels the spirit of Pat Benatar and AC/DC.

About the Artists Jeff Myerow has spent decades as a creative architect in the Boston media landscape. From his days as a DJ at Salem State to producing at iconic stations like WBCN, WBOS, and WAAF, Myerow has worked alongside New England’s most respected musicians.

Brian Maes is a world-class songwriter and performer, known for composing the Billboard hit “Until Your Love Comes Back Around” for RTZ (which he co-founded with Delp and Goudreau). Maes has toured the world with Peter Wolf and currently fronts Barry Goudreau’s Engine Room.
