Chain Opens First MA Restaurant At Burlington Mall
The eatery and bar now has 12 locations across the country.
BURLINGTON, MA — Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar has opened its first Massachusetts location at the Burlington Mall, bringing the Mexican restaurant chain to the Bay State for the first time.
The new restaurant, at 75 Middlesex Turnpike, is the company's 12th location nationwide and has created about 85 local jobs, according to a press release.
The 5,343-square-foot restaurant can seat 200 guests indoors and also includes an all-season outdoor patio. It is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to midnight, serving lunch and dinner daily as well as weekend brunch.

The Burlington opening also has a personal connection for Rocco's Tacos founder Rocco Mangel, who has family ties to Watertown and spent summers in the Boston area growing up.
"Massachusetts has always felt like home to me," Mangel said in a statement. "I spent my summers here with my family, and those memories have stayed with me throughout my life."

Rocco's Tacos opened its first restaurant in 2007. The Burlington menu includes tableside guacamole, margaritas and seasonally updated dishes under chef and partner Lisabet Summa.
The Burlington restaurant features a refreshed design with handcrafted furnishings and artisan pieces sourced from Mexico.
