Acclaimed Songwriter William Prince to Bring Soulful New Album to Club Passim

Two-time JUNO Award winner returns to Cambridge on May 31 to celebrate his latest LP, 'Further From the Country'

The intimate stage of Club Passim will host one of folk music’s most resonant voices this spring. On Sunday, May 31, 2026, singer-songwriter William Prince will perform in Harvard Square as part of his North American tour celebrating his fifth studio album, Further From the Country.

Prince, a two-time JUNO Award winner and recipient of the John Prine Songwriter Fellowship, has spent the last several years ascending to the heights of the Americana scene. His career highlights include a celebrated NPR Tiny Desk Home Concert, a nomination at the Americana Honors & Awards, and performances at the legendary Newport Folk Festival.

His latest work, Further From the Country, is being hailed as his most ambitious yet. The album balances personal reflection with universal truths, showcasing the "humanity and potency" that have become Prince’s hallmarks. Whether performing at prestigious venues like Massey Hall or touring alongside acts like The War and Treaty and Yola, Prince has earned a reputation for a commanding stage presence and a baritone voice that anchors his insightful storytelling.
