LOWELL, MA — Firefighters battled a blaze in Lowell Tuesday afternoon, according to reports.
WCVB reported receiving a video of the fire on Bridge Street.

"In a video sent to NewsCenter 5, residents at a nearby home were seen running from a backyard as the Bridge Street home was engulfed in flames in the background," the WCVB story said.
The Lowell Police Department posted a warning on social media to avoid the area.

"Drivers are advised to avoid the Bridge Street area from 6th Street to Willard Street due to multiple road closures," the post said. "Please seek alternate routes."

Flames shot out from the roof of the two-story building, according to NBC.

"It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt," NBC reported. "Firefighters were attacking the flames with hoses."
