Check presentation and volunteer build day will support permanently affordable homeownership for two Haverhill families
HAVERHILL, Mass. (June 2, 2026) – Ira Subaru of Danvers will present a $35,256 donation to Essex County Habitat for Humanity on Wednesday, June 3, at 9 a.m. at the organization’s 41 Curtis Street build site in Haverhill.
Immediately following the check presentation, Ira Subaru and Group 1 Automotive team members will volunteer alongside Essex County Habitat for Humanity to help build the home.
The donation will support Essex County Habitat for Humanity’s 41 Curtis Street project, where the organization is constructing a duplex that will provide permanently affordable homeownership opportunities for two local families. Each home will include three bedrooms and will be built to high energy-efficiency standards.
Representatives expected to attend include Roscoe Robinson, General Manager of Ira Subaru of Danvers; Jeffrey Lubas, General Sales Manager; Alcir Timas, New Car Director; Jon Zillioux, Market Director; and Kate Mason, Regional District Manager for Subaru of New England. Additional Subaru of New England representatives may also attend.

The Haverhill duplex will provide housing for two future Habitat homeowner families. One family, Andrew and Rafelina and their two children, is looking forward to a safe, healthy home after living in a small mobile home with significant structural challenges. Another future homeowner, Rossana, a single mother of three, has worked for more than 10 years as a senior medical customer service representative and is eager to provide long-term stability for her children.
