In today’s busy, troubled world, a few innocent laughs sometimes are just the ticket! Slapstick comedy has been around for countless generations in various forms, and cinema is no exception. From pratfalls with no realistic injury to razor-sharp dialogue to shoving pies in the faces of friends and strangers alike, slapstick has been a mainstay in the comedy genre that allows us to laugh and forget our cares for a while. This program led by Frank Mandosa will look at some of the most famous slapstick comedians of all time, including, but not limited to, Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, the Three Stooges, Our Gang, Charlie Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd before moving into some of the best of the best modern screen iterations!
