Danvers Playground Swing Set Removed After Vandalism
The Danvers Department of Public Works said the swing was removed while replacement parts can be ordered and installed.
DANVERS, MA — A Danvers playground swing set was removed last week after what the Department of Public Works said was an act of vandalism that compromised the swing structure.
Danvers DPW said the swing at Southwick Playground on the corner of Tipert Street and Walter Road was removed for "safety reasons" temporarily.
"Recreation has already ordered the necessary replacement parts, and the swings will be reinstalled as soon as they arrive," Danvers DPW said.

"Thank you for your understanding," Danvers DPW said.
