Ice Cream Delivery Shop To Make Long-Awaited North Shore Arrival

Owners of Scoop N Scootery said the Danvers location is set to open in September.

DANVERS, MA — An ice cream delivery service that began as a food truck a decade ago and has grown into nearly a dozen locations in Greater Boston and across the country is set to open on the North Shore this fall.

Months after teasing a move to Danvers, owners of The Scoop N Scootery Ice Cream Delivery posted on social media that the Maple Street location is scheduled to open on Sept. 19.

"Danvers, you were not about to let us forget," owners posted. "After more comments, DMs, pleas and increasingly dramatic messages than we could possibly fit into two slides, we can finally give you the answer you've been waiting for," the shop posted.

They now have locations in Cambridge, Allston, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida and Virginia.

"Ice cream delivery is what we do. Long before we opened a storefront in Arlington, we were delivering sundaes out of a food truck; slowly building a customer base, slowly forming a method to the madness," owners said.

Hours listed on the website for the Danvers location are Tuesday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
