Framingham 4th Of July Shots Fired Report Leads To 2 Arrests: Cops

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A report of shots fired on the Fourth of July in the area of Beaver Park led to the execution of multiple search warrants and the arrest of two men, police said.

Personnel from several agencies, including the Framingham Police Department, executed the search warrants Tuesday, Framingham police said in a media release.

"During the execution of the warrants, investigators recovered an illegally possessed AK-style rifle, six large-capacity magazines, and numerous rounds of ammunition," the release said.

Two men, Juan Leiva, 19, of Worcester, and Christian Cruz, 33, of Marlborough, were arrested on charges of carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, according to the release.

Cruz was also charged with possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card or license, possession of a large-capacity firearm and possession of a large-capacity feeding device, according to the release.
