Framingham Planning Board Member Avoids 1 Charge In Child-Sex Case: Report
Police arrested the man and two others in December through an undercover sting operation.
FRAMINGHAM — A former Framingham Planning Board member won’t face the most serious charge against him after he was accused of attempting to meet children for sex.
Prosecutors have dismissed the allegation against Joseph Norton of sexual conduct with a child for a fee, the MetroWest Daily News reported. They previously also dropped that charge against Eric Jurvis, a former rabbi at Sha’arei Shalom in Ashland.
Both men still face charges of enticement of a child under 16 and attempted rape of a child. With the dismissals, the cases against the men can remain in district court, the newspaper said.
