Grafton High School Moves Up On 2025 AP Honor Roll

GRAFTON, MA — Grafton High School has received national recognition for expanding access to Advanced Placement coursework while helping students succeed on AP exams.

The school was named a Silver recipient on the College Board’s 2025 AP School Honor Roll, moving to a higher tier than it held the previous year, according to the College Board’s national report.

Schools qualify based on three measures involving their most recent graduating class. At least 40 percent must have taken an AP exam during high school, at least 25 percent must have scored a 3 or higher on one or more exams and at least 2 percent must have taken five or more AP exams, including one in ninth or 10th grade, according to the College Board.

Grafton was among 5,723 schools to make the 2025 Honor Roll out of 16,068 eligible schools in the United States and Canada. That represents 36 percent of eligible schools. Silver recipients accounted for 11 percent.

Massachusetts had one of the nation’s highest participation rates, with 58 percent of eligible schools earning Honor Roll recognition, according to the report.

Grafton High School students took 443 AP exams across all subjects during the 2024-25 school year, with 85 percent receiving scores between 3 and 5, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The school credited its students, AP teachers and families for the recognition in a Grafton Gators Spotlight announcement.
