Resident Receives Fraudulent Letter

The following are excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department: 

Monday, June 23: 

• At 10:34 a.m., a resident reported he had received a fraudulent letter that the bank told him was not legitimate. 
• At 10:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a tree branch blocking a yield sign. 
• At 11:01 a.m., a resident reported a phone scam in which a man called her house stating there was a warrant out for her arrest. The caller would not ID himself and reportedly had a thick Indian accent. 
• At 11:55 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Foster Street. 
• At 3:18 p.m., a walk-in reported a hit and run of his car sometime this morning. 
• At 5:19 p.m., police responded to a two vehicle accident at the corner of Brook Road and Glendale Road. There were no injuries. 
• At 6:12 p.m., police responded to a motorcycle accident on Atlantic Avenue. 
• At 10:04 p.m., police responded to a report that an unwanted person was repeatedly ringing the doorbell. When police arrived, they discovered he was a Chinese food delivery man with the wrong address. 

• At 1:26 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Gingerbread Lane. 
• At 6:20 a.m., a walk-in reported that they had found a brown wallet with multiple cards inside. The owner was contacted via Facebook message.
