74th Annual Marlborough Labor Day Festival, Parade: What To Know

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough’s annual Labor Day weekend celebration will return in September with two days of downtown events.

The city will hold its Labor Day Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, along Main Street and at Gold Star Plaza. The city’s 74th annual Labor Day Parade will begin at noon Monday, Sept. 7.

The free festival will feature live music, local vendors, food trucks, bounce houses and a touch-a-truck exhibit, according to the event website.

Main Street will be closed from Florence Street to South Bolton Street during the festival. Weed Street and Court Street will also be closed. Parade road closures will be announced closer to the event.

Applications for festival vendors, performers and parade participants are available through Aug. 28 on the event website. Residents may also volunteer to help with setup, information distribution and parade activities.

Mayor J. Christian Dumais is also seeking nominations for this year’s parade Grand Marshal. Residents may submit a nomination for someone who has made a difference in the Marlborough community through Aug. 21.

Dumais shared a video invitation encouraging residents to attend the festival and parade.
