Marlborough Memorial Day Events Set To Honor Veterans, Service Members
Memorial Day honors U.S. service members who died while serving, and communities across the country mark the holiday.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Memorial Day honors U.S. service members who died while serving, and communities across the country mark the holiday with ceremonies, parades and tributes at local cemeteries and memorials.
The City of Marlborough is inviting the community to participate in multiple Memorial Day events honoring those who served the country.
This year's observance will begin with the flagging of graves at Evergreen Cemetery, 133 Wilson St., at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23.

The Memorial Day Honor Roll Run is scheduled to step off from Hildreth School, 85 Sawin St., at 7 a.m. Monday, May 25, followed by the city's Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. from American Legion Post 132, 90 Maple St.

“Please join us as we come together in remembrance, honor, and support for those who dedicated themselves to protecting our nation,” the city wrote in a statement on Tuesday.
A National Moment of Remembrance is also observed at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, when Americans are encouraged to pause for one minute of silence to honor those who died in military service.
