Organized by Medfield High School Guidance Counselor Erik Ormberg, members of the Medfield High School Class of 2026 along with MHS Principal Robert Parga and MHS Guidance Counselors gathered at St. Edward the Confessor Church on Wednesday morning, May 27, for the Annual Phil Burr Senior Coffee. Honey the Service Dog also attended and joined everyone for the group photo.

After introducing Mrs. June Doucette Burr to the group, Ormberg spoke to the seniors about his relationship with Phil Burr and his admiration for Burr’s courage, character, and dedication throughout his life.

Mrs. Doucette Burr brought several of her husband’s photographs and military awards to share with the senior boys in attendance. She spoke about his time serving in the Navy, including his receiving the Navy Cross, and reflected on the kind of man he was. Each year, she asks every senior to introduce himself and share his plans after graduation.
