MEDFORD, MA - Medford Youth Hockey & Girl's Hockey is pleased to announce the start of the 2026-27 In-House Hockey Program Classes for Boys & Girls ages 4-9 yrs old from Medford and surrounding communities with on-ice skating evaluations for both new players and returning players beginning on Thursday October 8th at 6:00 PM and on Saturday October 10th at 12:00 PM, both at the LoConte Rink 97 Locust St., Medford located across from Wegmans and Dick's Sporting Goods.                                                        PROGRAMS OFFERED: (3) Non-travel team USA Hockey sanctioned programs are offered as In-House Programs where all players are accepted and are taught to ice skate and improve their skating abilities throughout the season.                                                       CLASS SCHEDULES: October to March: Level #1 Learn to Skate (Beginners) and Level #2 (Development Clinic, Players who can ice skate) Both programs #1 & #2 skate (2) classes weekly on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and Saturdays at 12:00 PM. Level #3 Learn to Play (Teams) are players evaluated with higher skating abilities. These players will skate (3) times weekly on Fridays at 6:00 PM (Practice), on Saturdays at 1:00 PM (Player Skills) and on Sundays at 4:00 PM (X-Ice Games).    REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:  Required equipment for all (3) programs is a hockey helmet with full face mask (Cage), hockey skates, neck guard, lightweight elbow, knee/shin and shoulder pads as well as hockey or winter gloves.                                                                                      2026-27 PLAYER TUITIONS: The base registration/tuition fee for all In-House players is $300 per player. Players evaluated to Learn to Play Teams will be charged an additional $200 to cover the 3rd on-ice player skills session. There are also SIBLING 10% tuition discounts for 3rd and 4th family players participating.                                                  HOW TO REGISTER YOUR PLAYER: (2-Easy Steps)                    
Step #1: Go to: www.usahockey.com and register your player to receive their USA Hockey registration number and player insurance. Step #2: Go to: www.medfordrechockey.com and register your player for rostering and to make your initial 2026-27 credit card tuition payment.
