You love books! As do we! That's why we're all here, isn't it? And one of the best parts is filling up your shelves and looking at all the beautiful covers. So....now you can make your very own mini bookshelf!! We're collaborating with Stephanie Ma and are SUPER excited!! I mean c'mon, how amazing are those??
The Standard Covers ticket consists of 18 generic covers (randomly chosen). The Premium Covers ticket has a mix of popular book covers in addition to generic, reaching a total of 36 covers. <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/melrose/compose/event" target="_blank">Get your tickets here!</a>

Bay State Cohousing

Join us for English Country Dancing this Sunday afternoon, 3-5PM in the Baystate Cohousing unit on Pleasant St. in Malden Center. This event is FREE! (voluntary donations welcome) 
 
I play the melody on my fiddle while teaching and prompting. Our focus is dances of the 17th century that were brought to New England by the colonists. For any who wish to try playing the melodies, sheet music is available and playing by ear or improvisation are encouraged. 
These baroque tunes make one want to dance! The dances are accessible and the dancers are mostly newcomers so, don't expect a "performance" but rather a nice participatory community event for all ages and abilities.

Andover Choral Society directed by Matthew Buono and New England Classical Singers directed by David Hodgkins&nbsp;present "Songs of Freedom", a musical celebration of our nation's 250th Anniversary. The concert offers an exploration of choral music created at pivotal times in American history, from the 1700s to the 21st&nbsp;century. Themes of peace, conflict, gallantry, pioneering, and enduring hope resonate throughout this program – all presented by two of the Merrimack Valley’s most beloved choral groups. This special performance features a guest appearance by The Danvers Alarm List Company, an 18th-century living history reenactment group, creating a unique patriotic experience.&nbsp;Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and $10 for students.
