Local Chorus Bringing Broadway Songs To Melrose
The concert is coming to the city's performance headquarters in early June.
MELROSE, MA — A night of Broadway music is coming to Melrose this summer.
The Polymnia Choral Society will present Polymnia Goes to Broadway at Memorial Hall at 590 Main St., on Saturday, June 6.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. concert, which organizers say will feature music from Broadway favorites, including Les Misérables, A Chorus Line, Something Rotten!, The Sound of Music and Wicked. Audience members will also be invited to participate in Polymnia's signature sing-alongs throughout the evening.

Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite Broadway character for a chance to win a prize.
Tickets are $30 for table seating, $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for students, and $5 for children under 12 years of age. Tickets can be purchased online, at Miter Biter, 479 Main St. in Melrose, or by calling 617-633-5006.

"There will be something for everyone at this fun-filled concert," the society said in a statement.
Memorial Hall is wheelchair accessible via a ramp at the front entrance. Those with accessibility-related needs can send an email for assistance.
The Polymnia Choral Society has been performing for more than 70 years.
