Milford Home Sales Drop, Limited Listings In March Report

MILFORD — Home sales in Milford slowed in March 2026, even as prices held relatively steady and inventory continued to tighten, according to new data released by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

The data show 7 closed home sales in Milford last month, a 30 percent decrease from the same period a year ago. Despite the slowdown in activity, the median sales price remained largely unchanged at $549,900, down just 0.1 percent year-over-year.

Housing supply also tightened significantly. Only 10 homes were listed for sale in Milford during the reporting period, a 33.3 percent decline from the previous year, underscoring continued constraints in available inventory.

The broader statewide report for March 2026 reflects a mixed Massachusetts housing market, with modest price growth in some segments and continued declines in closed sales, suggesting a market still adjusting to higher mortgage rates and limited supply.

For Milford, the combination of fewer transactions and low inventory continues to point to a competitive environment for buyers, even as prices remain relatively stable.

“While closed sales continue to decline, warmer weather and more homes hitting the market are key signals that we will see renewed interest following a harsh winter across Massachusetts," said Kristen Keegan, 2026 president of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

Keegan added that March typically marks the beginning of increased buyer and seller activity, noting that rising inventory could help support a rebound in closed sales in the coming months.
