Milford Man Faces Child Pornography Charge After Investigation

MILFORD, MA — A Milford man is facing charges after police conducted an investigation into the possession of child pornography.

Hugo Ventura, 38, was charged with possessing child pornography on Tuesday, according to police. At around 4:15 p.m., members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau and Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Franklin Street.

“Crimes against children are among the most heinous in society," Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said in a statement on Tuesday. "Those who engage in such nefarious acts will always be on our radar and our pursuit of them will be relentless.”

Ventura was released on $1,000 bail while awaiting arraignment, according to police.

Milford police did not release additional details about the investigation and said all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
