Spring Concert with Boston Musicians Tom Pugh and Ed Scheer

Event Details

Keys Community Room, Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Avenue, Milton, MA 02186

Please come to the Milton Public Library on Saturday, May 9th, at 2 PM for a fun and entertaining musical event in our Keys Community Room.  This free concert is the final one in our Spring series, and it will feature 2 very talented musicians. Vocalist and guitarist Tom Pugh will be joined by singer and gifted percussionist and pianist Eddie Scheer in a fun, one-hour concert.  The repertoire will include decades of familiar songs, from. Bob Dylan to Chrissie Hynde, with a dollop of blues, a spoonful of soul, and both British and American roots.

Tom is co-founder of the successful Boston area youth music non-profit called: "Plugged In Band Program," with his wife, Executive Director Sandra Rizkallah.  Having studied and performed at Berklee College of Music and formerly working as an audio engineer at WGBH, Mr. Pugh is a very talented singer and bassist, as well as the guitarist at this concert.  He also has a new album called "Far and Wide" which was recently completed.  Tom brings a very friendly and entertaining stage presence to his audiences, as he shares his excellent voice.

Musician Eddie Scheer plays percussion and piano, and is the lead vocalist and founder of the band called "The Love Dogs."  He's been voted "Outstanding Blues Vocalist" and "Most Charismatic Entertainer" multiple times in the New England Blues Audience readers poll, and Eddie "Duato" Scheer has been playing music his whole life.  By age 14 he was singing and playing drums professionally, and eventually performed with R&B greats to include  Peter Wolf, John Mayall, and Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson.  Then inspired by his work backing New Orleans singer Johnny Adams, Ed started writing Jump Blues and New Orleans R&B styled songs.  Encouraged by the fertile Boston blues scene, Mr. Scheer then started the very popular group called "The Love Dogs."  For more information about them, please go to https:/thelovedogs.com

This event is jointly supported by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and by the MPL Foundation.  Questions?  Call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964 or Email jhlady@milton.ocln.org.  You may also go to: www.miltonlibrary.org/events for more info.  Please join us for a fun afternoon of music!
