Portion Of Route 9 In Natick To Close On Thursday

One lane will be closed and there could be traffic congestion as the town removes a nearby tree.

NATICK, MA — Drivers traveling west on Route 9 in Natick should expect delays Thursday as crews remove a tree near the Cochituate Rail Trail.

The work is scheduled for May 21 between Route 27 and the trail, adjacent to 959 Worcester St., according to a public notice. Officials said the tree removal is necessary due to ongoing construction in the area, including sidewalk improvements that are planned.

Crews will be working at the site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and one lane of westbound Route 9 will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon.
