11-Year-Old Bicyclist Hospitalized In Crash With Northborough Police Car
Police said the boy was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
NORTHBOROUGH, MA — An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized with injuries believed to be minor after his bicycle collided with a Northborough police cruiser Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at about 3:15 p.m. Aug. 25 at Main and River streets, according to Police Chief Brian Griffin. A preliminary investigation found that the cruiser was exiting a Main Street parking lot when it collided with the bicycle.
Northborough Fire EMS transported the boy to an area hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

The officer was also taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the crash.
