Peabody Crews Battle Blaze On Butternut Avenue

PEABODY, MA — Peabody fire crews battled a Butternut Avenue home blaze that reached a second alarm on Tuesday afternoon, according to Emergency Service Reports.

Northeast Massachusetts Emergency Alerts said smoke and fire were showing from the house at about 4 p.m., with one patient removed.

Other fire services on social media said that the roof was compromised in the 1-story ranch house.

Peabody fire said the fire was knocked down by around 6 p.m.

"Thank you to all the mutual aid companies covering and on scene as well as Rehab 5 and Atlantic Ambulance," Peabody Fire Engine 5 said in a social media post.
