Peabody Power Outage Puts Elementary School In Dark

PEABODY, MA — A West Peabody power outage expected to last up to six hours put an elementary school in the dark on Thursday morning.

Peabody Municipal Light said about 250 buildings were without power as of about 11:30 a.m. — including the the Burke School.

"We anticipate restoring power to 75 percent of the customers within an hour," PMLP said. "The other 25 percent wil likley see an outage of four to six hours."

PMLP said the Burke School is involved in this outage and will have no power for the duration of the restoration.
