Rain Cancels Peabody Memorial Day Parade, Cemetery Observance

PEABODY, MA — A rainy Monday morning weather forecast prompted the cancellation of this year's Memorial Day parade and Cedar Grove Cemetery observance.

A remembrance ceremony honoring the city's fallen heroes will still be held inside City Hall at 11 a.m.

Sunday's rain was set to linger through around noontime on Monday, with breaks of sunshine later in the afternoon and temperatures rising to the 70s after they struggled to get out of the low 50s on Monday.

The summer weather returns on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs back in the 80s.
