Spin Doctors, Buffalo Tom To Headline Free North Shore Beach Music Festival

SALISBURY, MA — Salisbury Beach will host the 24th Annual Riverfest Music Festival on Aug. 22 with the Spin Doctors and Buffalo Tom headlining a free day of live music on the Broadway Boardwalk.

92.5-FM the River announced the lineup, which also includes Fantastic Cat and Salisbury singer-songwriter Gavin Marengi.

Festival attendees will be able to visit more than 30 participating exhibitors before, during and after the event. An outdoor bar will be available for adults, and businesses, restaurants and arcades on the Broadway Boardwalk will be open during the festival.

Donald St. Sauveur, general manager of WXRV/92.5 the River, said the station is partnering again with the Salisbury Beach Partnership for the event.

"We're thrilled to once again partner with the Salisbury Beach Partnership to bring Riverfest back to Salisbury Beach," St. Sauveur said. "The Broadway Boardwalk is an incredible setting for a free live music festival, offering our listeners a beautiful oceanfront experience unlike any other."

Kathy Aiello, managing director of Atlantic Hospitality Group and a member of the Salisbury Beach Partnership board of directors, said the event has become a summer fixture.

"Riverfest has become one of the signature events of the summer at Salisbury Beach, and we're proud to partner with 92.5 the River to bring this free concert back to our community," Aiello said.

More than 800 on-site paid municipal parking spots will be available, and attendees are encouraged to rideshare, use ride-hailing services or take alternative transportation.

A free shuttle school bus will run between the Salisbury Beach State Reservation parking lots at 1 State Reservation Road and the Broadway Boardwalk from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
