SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. On Oct. 17, the Pumpkin Spice Festival is set to return to Bishop's Field on Holbrook Road from noon to 4 p.m. for its 35th year. The event is free and open to the public, featuring activities for people of all ages. There will be a petting zoo, face painting, pony rides and a balloon artist. The fun doesn't stop there, with an obstacle course also planned. Additionally, Touch-a-Truck will return, featuring the Quincy Fire Department, Norfolk County Sheriff's Office and Brewster Ambulance. The festival is hosted by the Montclair/Wollaston Neighborhood Association.
