
As the project nears completion, the screening of selected scenes will celebrate the contributions and support of the local communities in the area. The event is free to the public and will include an in depth interview with the Director. and Q&A and special guests.
THE LAST WITCH tells the story of the successful efforts of a North Andover middle school civics class to bring about the exoneration of Elizabeth Johnson Jr, who was convicted of witchcraft at the Salem Witch Trials but had never been legally exonerated. What should have been a straightforward process became a journey into unhealed historic wounds, as the students learned how events that happened long ago continue to have repercussions and affect lives today, and that their voices matter.
