Shrewsbury Water Main Break Closes Main Street

SHREWSBURY, MA — A water main break has closed part of Main Street while crews work to repair the damage on Wednesday morning.

The break is near 177 Main St. in the I-290 area, according to the Town of Shrewsbury. Main Street is closed nearby and drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Residents on the west side of town may experience low water pressure, discolored water or a temporary loss of service while Water Department and Department of Public Works crews isolate the break and make repairs.

The town is asking residents to conserve water throughout the day. Updates will be provided as work progresses.
