Water Main Break On Green Street Temporarily Disrupts Service In Shrewsbury
Service has since been restored.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A water main break on Wednesday morning on Green Street caused a temporary interruption in water service for residents from Appaloosa Drive to Route 20 while crews completed emergency repairs.
The incident happened sometime before 10 a.m., town officials said. At around 4 p.m., the town said a contractor has since finished the work and water service has been fully restored to the affected area.
Residents may still notice discolored water following the restoration. If this occurs, or if there is reduced water pressure or air in household lines, the Department of Public Works recommends running cold water from an outdoor faucet or a downstairs bathtub until the water runs clear.
