SUDBURY, MA — A number of Town of Sudbury board and committee appointments are set to expire in May 2026, and several groups also have current vacancies, according to the Select Board’s Office.
The openings span 17 boards and committees that play a role in shaping town policy, programs and services. Town officials say these volunteer positions offer residents an opportunity to participate directly in local government and decision-making.

- Capital Improvement Advisory Committee
- Commission on Disability
- Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- Conservation Commission
- Design Review Board
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission
- Earth Removal Board (Earth Removal Board members serve as Associate Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals)
- Energy & Sustainability Committee
- Historical Commission
- Land Acquisition Review Committee
- Permanent Building Committee
- Rail Trails Advisory Committee
- SuAsCo River Stewardship Council
- Sudbury Housing Trust
- Sudbury Transportation Committee
- Town Historian
- Zoning Board of Appeals (Associate Members of the ZBA serve as full Members of the Earth Removal Board)

Sudbury residents interested in serving are encouraged to apply through the town’s online Appointment Application form here, which asks applicants to share their background, experience and interest in serving.
