Sudbury Athlete Earns NCCAA Scholar-Athlete Honors

He has earned the recognition for the second time during his collegiate career.

SUDBURY, MA — A college student from Sudbury has been named a National Christian College Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete for outdoor track and field.

Bob Jones University senior Mishael Gray, who is a Criminal Justice major, earned the recognition for the second time during his collegiate career. The honor recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA while competing in athletics as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

“I am thrilled these athletes show their pride in this university in all areas, not just sports,” Head Coach Ken Roach said. “Sports do end but education lasts a lifetime. The time management devoted around practices and academics is exceptional for these students. They have a strong and consistent work ethic, and it shows with being a scholar-athlete.”
