Sudbury Looking For New Aquatics Manager For Atkinson Pool

The town is hiring a new aquatics manager to oversee operations and programming at Atkinson Pool.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury is hiring a new aquatics manager to oversee operations and programming at Atkinson Pool.

The full-time, benefits-eligible job is within the Sudbury Park and Recreation Department and pays $65,510 to $86,155 for a 35-hour workweek, with starting salary based on qualifications, according to the town posting.

The aquatics manager will oversee Aquatics Supervisors, the Head Lifeguard, lifeguards, swim instructors and seasonal staff at Atkinson Pool, an eight-lane, 25-yard lap pool with a separate diving well inside the recently renovated Fairbank Community Center.

The role also includes managing aquatic programming, facility maintenance planning, vendor relationships, contracts, budgets and customer service initiatives. The manager will also help develop and monitor the aquatics operating budget and revenue goals, according to the town.

Typical qualifications include an associate’s degree or higher in recreation or a related field and three years of experience managing an aquatic facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be a Certified Pool Operator, have lifeguard and CPR certifications, and hold a valid driver’s license.
