Sudbury Looking For Special Assistant For Town, School Facilities Role
The town is hiring a special assistant to the combined facilities director.
SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury is hiring for a full-time administrative role supporting the town and school facilities department.
The town posted the opening Monday for a special assistant to the combined facilities director, a 35-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position that helps supervise and coordinate functions for the Combined Facilities Department, which serves both the town and Sudbury Public Schools.
The special assistant works with town departments, boards, committees and officials while handling complex administrative and clerical duties under the combined facilities director. The job includes work related to procurement, research, data collection and reports or projections tied to budgets, capital planning, energy, grants and other strategic needs, according to the posting.

Sudbury is seeking candidates with facility management experience, strong customer service and communication skills and the ability to stay organized while multitasking. Typical qualifications include an associate’s degree in business or a related field and five years of administrative or office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Municipal experience, knowledge of Massachusetts procurement laws and MCPPO certification are preferred, according to the town.

The hiring range is $65,510 to $86,155, with a starting salary based on qualifications. The town said the role includes benefits such as health, dental, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a pension and optional retirement savings accounts.
