Sudbury Prepares For Holiday Village, Looking For Vendors

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury is preparing to bring its food and gift market back this year.

The Holiday Village is expected to return to the Fairbank Community Center this December, featuring seasonal shopping, winter activities, food, and drinks. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 40 Fairbank Rd.

To prepare for the winter event, the town is accepting applications from artists, food vendors, and food truck operators until Oct. 16.

The town will select up to 25 artists for the Winter Gift Market. Each artist will receive an eight-foot display space and may set up on Dec. 4, or the morning of the event. There is no cost to apply or participate.

However, artists do not need to live in Sudbury. They will be selected based on factors including the quality and originality of the work, product category, availability of winter or holiday-themed items and range of prices.

Applicants will find out by Oct. 26 if they were selected.

The town also has five outdoor spaces for food trucks and eight indoor spaces in the Food Hall. There is no vendor fee and tables and chairs will be provided to indoor vendors.

The town will select food vendors based on when applications are received and the type of cuisine offered. Those chosen must obtain a Sudbury Health Department permit and submit the required paperwork by Nov. 6.
