Swampscott Declares Snow Emergency Parking Ban Ahead Of Saturday Snow

The ban was declared with up to 4 to 6 inches of snow possible for the North Shore on Saturday.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott has declared a snow emergency parking ban ahead of a Saturday snowstorm that could bring up to 6 inches of snow to the North Shore.

Offiials said the ban begins at2 a.m. on Saturday and lasts until 8 p.m.

All cars remaining on the street are subject to being ticketed and towed.

Public parking is available at Hawthorne by the Sea lot (153 Humphrey Street) or Phillips Park lot (585 Humphrey Street).

The National Weather Service is forecasting a widespread 3 to 4 inches of snow from the showers that will begin early Saturday morning and continue off and on the entire day, according to the NWS.
