Swampscott To Host Health & Wellness Conference

The "Thriving in Every Season" conference and wellness fair is on March 14.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA The Swampscott departments of Recreation, Senior Center, Health and Veterans Affairs are joining forces to host the "Thriving in Every Season" mental health and wellness conference.

The event will be held at Swampscott High School on March 14, with the mental health conference from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Wellness Fair from 1 to 3 p.m.

The conference will focus on protective strategies, coping skills and tools to support resilience and well-being.

Keynote Speaker Lisa Tieszen of Resilience Works will set the stage for the day with a presentation that will focus on self-awareness, hope, connection, and purpose.

Participants will then have a chance to choose one of three tracks, each focusing on a different cohort, including: older adults, veterans, and families.

Tieszan will host a panel that will feature local resources and programs that enhance community wellness.

Conference registrants will enjoy a free lunch at 1:00 pm.

The Wellness Fair will be open from 1 to 3 p.m.

It will also include a variety of self-care experiences, including a sound bath or yoga class for attendees to try.
