Town officials are encouraging residents to apply for open volunteer roles on boards, committees and commissions.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott is seeking residents to serve on volunteer boards, committees and commissions.
Swampscott's volunteer boards and committees are "essential to the effective and inclusive operation of our town." The town says those groups bring together residents with knowledge, experience and diverse perspectives, while also helping the community study issues and best practices.
The boards and committees help "foster communication between community members, town staff, and elected officials."
