Man Accused In Tewksbury Vehicle Break-Ins, Police Say

TEWKSBURY, MA — A man accused in a total of more than 30 crimes was arrested recently, according to Tewksbury police.

David Iovanna, 23, of Malden, was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle during the daytime and nighttime with intent to commit a felony, along with multiple counts of larceny under $1,200 and credit card fraud under $1,200.

Iovanna broke into two vehicles on Main Street and Apache Way in April, police said.

He took wallets, cash and payment cards, some of which he then used to buy items in Tewksbury and surrounding towns, according to police.

Iovanna was arrested by Quincy police. He was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Sept. 8.

“This arrest was the result of solid investigative work and strong collaboration with our law enforcement partners,” Police Chief Ryan Columbus said in a statement.
