Fred and Pawtrick want to meet you this Saturday morning

PAWS will be having a Meet & Greet this Saturday, May 23, 10am – noon, 411 Lowell Street, Wakefield.Come and meet Fred and Pawtrick, two very different cats, needing two different types of homes.

Meet Fred(aka Freddy), our 17-year-old easy-going kitty with one eye and extra toes. He is an affectionate and gentle senior soul who loves to greet you at the door, follow you closely, and tell you loudly it’s mealtime. Fred lives simply, sitting in his bed, on his cat tree or quilt, curling up in your lap, and playing with a Cat Dancer toy. He’ll do anything for a Temptations treat. He enjoys petting and attention; he will slide his paw over your leg or arm a number of times or rub you with his head to remind you he needs it (keeping his claws clipped will be essential to prevent unintentional scratches when he does this). Fredhas an excellent appetite requiring food and snack management to prevent excessive weight gain. He is in good health for his age but was diagnosed with a moderate heart murmur and has dew claws at his extra toes, both of which need to be monitored. He’s generally an easy maintenance kitty and does not require any prescription medications. Fredis looking for a quiet forever home where his pet parent(s) would be home a lot of the time and there are no young children (older, calm children would be ok). We are not sure how he would get along with other cats or dogs, so a home where he is the only 4-legged pet may be best. If you are looking for an easygoing companion to share your quiet moments, Fred is ready to fill your home with more love.

Pawtrick is a young ginger cat, about 4 months old. He will need someone (or a family) willing to play with him and train him.Young cats often do best with another cat in the home, so if you have a cat needing a companion, you might consider Pawtrick.His foster mom should be present on Saturday morning and able to provide you with more information about him.
