Road Work Project Begins On Wakefield Street

Residents and guests who are parked on the street during this operation are at risk of being towed, the town said.

WAKEFIELD, MA — A roadway milling project is expected to affect traffic on Elm Street on Friday and Monday.

Roadway milling is scheduled to take place on Elm Street on Friday, May 15 and Monday May 18, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please keep this in mind if your commute brings you through the area.

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained to the maximum extent possible, however, we ask that residents allot more time to enter and exit their neighborhood when this phase of work occurs. Residents and guests who are parked on the street during this operation are at risk of being towed. Area residents will receive informational flyers at their homes. Work is weather dependent.
