For First Time, Bentley Falcons Head To College Baseball's World Series: Report
Bentley University captured the Division II regional title with a walk-off win against a New York school.
WALTHAM, MA — A Waltham baseball team is headed to the World Series. The NCAA College World Series, that is.
Bentley University edged New York’s Molloy University on Saturday, 3-2, winning the NCAA Division II East Regional title and a trip to the college championships, the Waltham Times reported.
This is the first time Bentley has earned a berth in the World Series. The victory came in dramatic fashion: The Falcons were tied 2-2 with the Molloy Lions in the bottom of the ninth inning.

A wild pitch allowed Bentley to score the winning run.
The Falcons will now face the University of Tampa Spartans on Saturday at 6 p.m., in Cary, North Carolina. The championship competition continues through Monday, June 1.
