Looking For Goldilocks? Bear Checks Out Waltham Home: Report

WALTHAM, MA — An unusual visitor recently stopped by a Waltham home.

A black bear was spotted by a resident’s doorway video camera, WFXT-TV 25 reported Wednesday evening.

Footage caught the bear walking onto the building’s deck, standing upright, and peering inside at a kitchen table.

The TV station didn’t specify the location of the house, or whether the bear was invited inside.

This is the time of year when bears emerge from hibernation, and they often seek out food or other edible items associated with humans.

Massachusetts has an estimated black bear population of about 5,000, according to the state.
