Glezen Lane Reopens To Traffic In Wayland Amid Road Work
The work follows several recent closures tied to roadway improvements on Glezen Lane.

WAYLAND, MA — Glezen Lane has reopened to all traffic until further notice as road work continues, according to the Wayland Department of Public Works.
The contractor expects to begin the binder course of paving as early as Thursday or Friday, weather permitting, according to the DPW. Temporary road closures and detours may be needed during paving, and the town said it will provide another update when the schedule is confirmed.
The work follows several recent closures tied to roadway improvements on Glezen Lane. Earlier this month, the road was closed to through traffic between Concord Road and Draper Road while crews continued construction.
The closures were intended to keep through traffic out of the construction zone while crews completed roadway improvements. Drivers were previously detoured from Concord Road to Claypit Hill Road, Plain Road and Draper Road, and homeowners were allowed to access their properties during the work.
Wayland officials said much of the roadway remains gravel while construction continues. Drivers are being asked to slow down, use caution, watch for construction equipment and work crews and expect changing road conditions.
The DPW said residents should drive carefully to help keep workers and other residents safe and to minimize dust while the project continues.
