10 Town Jobs Available In Westborough

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Are you looking for a job? Westborough is hiring for 10 positions, including jobs in public safety, public works, planning and the library.

Westborough’s employment opportunities page listed 10 full-time and part-time positions as of Thursday. The town added two finance positions to the municipal hiring list.

The openings include:

• Assistant Town Accountant
• Finance Assistant: Accounting Office
• Police Officer
• Firefighter/EMT
• Public Safety Dispatcher

• ​Assistant Town Engineer
• ​​Library Administrative Assistant​​​
• ​Maintenance Craftsperson: Department of Public Works/Forestry
• ​Maintenance Craftsperson I: Department of Public Works/Highway​​​

The Assistant Town Accountant position has an anticipated hiring range of $36.10 to $41.20 per hour, with a maximum rate of $47.01 per hour. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, along with three to five years of relevant experience.

The Finance Assistant position has an anticipated hiring range of $30.69 to $35.02 per hour, with a maximum rate of $39.96 per hour. The job involves accounting and administrative work, including processing vendor and payroll warrants, preparing checks, and maintaining financial records for town and school departments.

Westborough expects to begin reviewing applications for both finance positions around Sept. 7.

Other positions listed by the town include two DPW maintenance craftsperson jobs with anticipated hourly pay reaching more than $32, a director of planning position paying $101,896 to $132,695 annually and an assistant town engineer position paying $86,292 to $112,375 annually with a $4,000 hiring bonus for fully qualified applicants.
