6 Westborough Students Receive Civic Club Scholarships

Six Westborough students graduating this year have received scholarships from the Westborough Civic Club.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Six Westborough students graduating this year have received scholarships from the Westborough Civic Club.

The club awarded five $1,000 scholarships to Westborough residents graduating from Westborough High School and one scholarship to a Westborough resident graduating from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, according to the Civic Club. The scholarships are funded by proceeds from the club’s annual tree sale and may be used for post-high-school education.

The Westborough High School recipients were Daeyhoung Seo, Rebeca Castro Pires, Vedika Soneji, Nimish Kunte and Prisha Konduru. Konduru was not available for a photo during the presentations.

Civic Club Secretary Tom Dwyer, President George Grosner and Treasurer Mark Lippitt assisted with the presentations, along with Superintendent Allison Borchers.

The Westborough Civic Club has supported Westborough residents for more than 50 years and has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors for years, according to the club. The recipient selections are made by the respective schools.
